Welcome

Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts - Los Angeles opened teaching restaurant 561 to the public in February 2000, giving patrons a unique opportunity to dine within the classroom and experience firsthand the passion and creativity of tomorrow's culinary talent as students take the final step in their Le Cordon Bleu education.

The restaurant, known as "561," the address of the restaurant on Green Street in Pasadena, is staffed by LCB-LA students completing a prerequisite to obtaining a degree in culinary arts or hospitality and restaurant management. The students work directly under the supervision of LCB-LA instructors overseeing both food preparation and service.

The restaurant serves inventive and exceptional California cuisine with an ever-changing menu, which focuses on seasonal offerings and reflects the school's ongoing innovations in cooking - emphasizing classical French techniques, healthy cooking, creativity and environmental sustainability.

Because 561 is a classroom, guests who leave a gratuity will play a significant role in LCB-LA students' education, as 100% of these proceeds are donated to the Career Education Scholarship Fund. These and other donations are made available periodically throughout the year to LCB-LA students who meet scholarship criteria in amounts up to $2,000 per student.

Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts - Los Angeles (LCB-LA) Le Cordon Bleu Program in Pasadena and Hollywood offers students a hands-on educational experience with a credentialed faculty dedicated to providing students with the necessary skills, knowledge, support and guidance necessary for the successful development of a career in the culinary arts. Founded in 1994, LCB-LA is an affiliate of the Le Cordon Bleu Schools North America network, one of the largest providers of quality culinary arts education.
